Our Story

Farmers and food producers are the heart and soul of Kitchen Soko’s operation. The founders of Kitchen Soko are farmers and it came about as they were trying solve their own market access problems. Having experienced the current model of market access, where a farmer rarely directly interacts with the market and usually goes through a chain of brokers, retailers and wholesalers, they decided to start a platform that could address this. We didn't know how the final solution will look like but we were sure there is a gap to be filled.

Our core principle is actually that - to put markets at the centre of all production, processing, product development and packaging. It will do this by 1) organizing local food producers into a single market space where they can connect with their customers, 2) ensure production, processing and packaging meet high market standards and good practices and 3) enable to farmer to focus on the latter as it handles market access and transactions on their behalf.

Kitchen Soko handles logistics and guarantees quality to the consumer to deliver the highest quality food from farm to customer.
